What a season it’s been for the Vikings! From juveniles to seniors, every team has shown incredible commitment, growth, and pride in the jersey.
Our U12s faced a tough first season, but their attitude and determination never wavered. The foundations are firmly in place, and they’re already hungry for the challenge next year.
The U13s made huge strides, finishing 4th with 10 wins - a massive improvement that reflects the hard work put in all season.
The U14s also secured 4th place in Division 1, competing strongly at a high level with many of the players chosen for the Basketball Ireland U14 Southeast Academy squad.
A standout year for the U15s, finishing 2nd in Division 1 and going one better by winning their Top 4 competition. Four players of this squad were chosen for the Basketball Ireland U15 South Academy squad.
The U16 squads had a fantastic campaign: the A team finished 3rd in Division 1 and reached the Top 4 final, while the B team dominated Division 2 and capped it off by winning their Top 4.
The U17s had an outstanding season, finishing 2nd in the league and bringing home the Cup - a brilliant achievement. One player was part of the U17 National team squad this season and just narrowly missed out on selection for the Four Nations tournament this summer.
The U18s were equally impressive, finishing joint top of the league (placing 2nd on countback) and also lifting the Cup.
At senior level, both men’s teams delivered. The Men’s 1 team won Division 1 and completed the double by winning the Top 4 final against our own Men’s 2 team, who had an excellent season themselves, finishing 2nd in both league and top 4s.
Nine of our 10 teams qualified for the Top 4 competitions, with strong performances across the board:
- U13, U14, U17 & U18 reached the semi-finals
- U16A reached the final
- U15 & U16B were crowned champions
- Men’s 1 vs Men’s 2 delivered an all-Vikings final, with Men’s 1 coming out on top!
The U20 team got their first taste of National League competition and the experience gained will stand to them in the future.
A huge thank you to our players, coaches, volunteers, and supporters who make this club what it is.
Roll on next season 💙🤍
