WATERFORD VIKINGS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Basketball Ireland player registration is mandatory for all players of all ages. This must be completed before attending training sessions as BI carry the insurance for the club. The onus is on parents/guardians and/or adult players to complete this registration promptly. Please see the link below or on the clubhouse screen in our ClubZap app.

NOTE: Players are NOT eligible to attend training until the first payment of €50 has been made and will NOT be allowed to continue to attend training or play games if the full payment is not made by 14th December.

I agree for my child to receive medical assistance if required.
I agree that photos and video may be taken of my child(ren) for the purpose of training and development and/or publicity including posting on the club website and social media pages.
All players must be 7 years of age before they can join the Club or attend training.
Parents and players must agree to the Code of Conduct.
Coaches use Clubzap to communicate team information.
All players with Waterford Vikings will be registered with Basketball Ireland and Kilkenny & South East Area board. The information on this form will not be shared with any other third party.

Waterford Vikings provide Public Liability Insurance only. PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE IS NOT PROVIDED THROUGH THE CLUB and members requiring it should source it directly (existing school policies may provide it and we strongly encourage you to investigate these policies).

Code of Conduct for Waterford Vikings Players AND Parents/Guardians

Waterford Vikings Basketball Club is based on including everyone, fair play, taking part, and having fun!

As a player, I agree to:

Respect all other players, coaches and volunteers no matter what their religious beliefs, race, gender,
social class or ability on both Waterford Vikings teams and the opposing teams.
Have fun and participate. Avoid rough or dangerous play. Never bully.
Never use bad language or behave disrespectfully to other players, my coach, or other volunteers.
Be a positive and enthusiastic player and encourage my team-mates.
Be on time for all training and matches.
Not use my mobile phone during training or games.
Not to contact my coach by phone or otherwise at any time. All communication must be made by parents/guardians.

As parents/guardians we agree to:

Never use bad language or behave disrespectfully to players, coaches, or other volunteers.
Be a positive and enthusiastic supporter of the players, coaches and other volunteers.
Agree not to contact the coach of your child’s team before 9am or after 9pm EXCEPT in the case of an emergency.

Any misdemeanours and general misbehaviour will be dealt with immediately and reported verbally to the designated Child Protection Officer. The Child Protection Officer will bring any disciplinary issues to the Disciplinary Committee. The Disciplinary Committee will adjudicate on each case and will recommend appropriate action, up to and including dismissal from the club, to the Committee.

We have read the Waterford Vikings Code of Conduct above and agree to abide by the guidelines as set out in the code.
